One of my favorite places on earth! I go a couple of times a year. Summertime it is super crowded, so I usually avoid those times. I enjoy the solitude during the off season the most.

Glacier National park is beautiful but not a good experience for me. All the campgrounds were full and the Motel near the Canadian Border too. With no where to go I parked in a wide pull over spot with no signs saying NO PARKING! I was told by a Park Ranger I had to leave. I will never go back. If I do it will be on the Canadian side and call ahead for a room or camping spot.

Beautiful area all around and inside the park. On of my favorite places to be in the United States. Park Service are always helpful and there are thousands of miles of backcountry to explore. If you can avoid the crowds this place should not be missed.

Glacier National Park is a 1,583-sq.-mi. wilderness area in Montana's Rocky Mountains, with glacier-carved peaks and valleys running to the Canadian border. It's crossed by the mountainous Going-to-the-Sun Road. Among more than 700 miles of hiking trails, it has a route to photogenic Hidden Lake. Other activities include backpacking, cycling and camping. Diverse wildlife ranges from mountain goats to grizzly bears.

Just beautiful. For me, the glaciers weren't the immediate point of interest, instead it was how they've carved out the mountains around them.
