Just had my second visit, $10 per person, kids free, Cash only and remember to bring water and a snack. You can easily spend hours here.... I personally have fun reading about the Castle Dome citizens and the history of this town.. It truly is worth the stop just remember to wear good shoes!

I loved it! It was a great experience and well worth the time it takes to get there. So much to see, so go early, wear good walking shoes, and bring water. Bring your own lunch too because we were there 5 hours and we were very hungry afterwards with no place to purchase food. Highly recommend this ghost town!

Very kid friendly place! Wonderful, self led museum tour. Over 50 restored buildings stuffed full of period pieces from the mines and those who worked in them. Well worth the visit. Bring a lunch to enjoy at the picnic tables, lots of water and leave your pets back home or at the hotel. No smoking here, thankfully, but you can wear your sidearm! Take all the pics you want and enjoy! So cool. Love this place. Open 9-5, the last 7 miles of your journey to get here is a hard packed dirt road. When you reach the end of the pavement and find this, KEEP GOING. Get here by 3pm if you want enough time to enjoy the 2 parts of the museum: the building half where most of the buildings and artifacts are located, and the walking half where the bulk of the mine shafts are located. P.S. they are very period here: CASH ONLY. No atm in sight, either. $10/person to get in. No discounts. (have you been to a museum with this much stuff that you can TOUCH in it? This entry fee is cheap)

Love this place. I spent all afternoon here. Mining lore and relics displayed in old buildings assembled like an old town. Very well put together.

Had a terrible experience with a member of staff. Here is what happened. A group of senior citizens in the same vehicle got a flat tire just before getting to the museum, I being younger (45) decided to do a good turn and help them change the tire, while doing so a member of the staff came riding up on his bike and said " you need to move NOW you are blocking the road. I said there is enough room to pass on this side of the vehicle and that a vehicle had already done so. He repeated NOW! And also said why didn't you pull over further and went on to say I have had flats and was able to get off the road. I stood up and he got right in my face and said move! I told him it wasent even my vehichle. He then left and we finished the tire change. The elderly lady said "Wow what a rude man he didn't even offer to help. She then said I want to be there when you tell him off and I said no its not worth the headache. Moral of the story is how flippin "RUDE". And further more for 10 dollars a person it's not that neat anyway. Defiantly not 10$ neat.
