If you like art and social-political exhibitions then this is a place for you. My husband and I spent most of the morning walking around appreciating art pieces and paintings as well as learning about the history of many Asian countries. At the end of the trip we stopped by a restaurant located in their courtyard. It was a wonderful experience.

Top notch meusum. Amazing building and variety of exhibitions. Free entrance. The only thing you pay is parking. Parking is plenty and convenient as well.

I have been to many Fine Arts museums all over the world and this has to be my favourite. Worth visiting Taichung just for this! It’s huge so you’ll need at least 2 hours plus break time at their lovely cafe.

Definitely worth a visit, and it's free! A nice place to spend a few hours. The museum has a very nice collection of more contemporary works by Taiwanese artists. The gift shop is also pretty expansive. If you want to get something to eat there is a teahouse nearby.

Stopped by here in a rainy afternoon where all other outdoor activities becomes impractical. Found some really interesting modern arts on display. Not what I was expecting (gallery) but pleasantly surprised with the exhibitions.
