Bangkok's main train station. You can catch the train to any part of Thailand from here. The air conditioner are set to below 20 degrees Celsius so it is an idea to bring a jacket if you get cold easily. Staff are friendly enough but they are by the books so don't expect information from the ticketing booth or train schedules from the information booth etc. There are fast food stalls and a food court within and nearby the station. A Black Canyon cafe on the upper floor. Public toilets are available here (bringing your own toilet paper is advised). Great place to wander into if you are heading to or from nearby Chinatown (Yowarat) even if you just want to cool off. Avoid taking the taxis outside the station cab ranks as they can be traps. Take a stroll a block away and waving down a taxi is a safer bet.

It is the oldest platform in Bangkok. It is a nice platform but a little bit chaotic. The railway officials are nice and humble. I am impressed by the service and their hospitality. They can speak fluent English so there's no problem to communicate. There are enough signs for the customers. The tickets are not so expensive and it is easy to buy tickets online as well.

this is the main train station of Bangkok. We were surprised by how busy it was, coming from Chiangmai where it was quite and uncrowded. Lots to eat outside and if you need hotel you can stay near here or easy to get a taxi.

Trains are available round the clock to various destinations. Very friendly people to help you with all sort of queries. Transportation facilities from the station to near by areas are very good. The station area is clean and all sort of facilities are available at the same place. You can take taxis to The Grand Palace and Budhha Temples from this station.

Bangkok train station. You can either book online or in person. We booked online for an overnight train to Chiang Mai. Help desk speaks good English. Has a lunchroom on first floor, coffee shop upstairs and a convenience store below it. Easy to navigate, super crowded at all time.
