Stayed here twice and loved it both times! We had a really good room and there was nothing wrong with it! The food was really good and the people who worked there are also very nice! The only thing that I don't like is the pool is too cold! But everything else is really good! If you are staying in Hong Kong come and stay here!

Still a very nice place to come and visit. Once called Harbour Plaza HK is now Harbour Plaza Kowloon. Every time we visit Hong Kong, this is the one hotel we would rather stay in rather than anywhere else. The Hotel over looks the harbour. The HK Ferry is just a few minutes walk away as is the Bus Terminus. Everything is a walks away and very convenient for the HKers in Whampoa Garden. There is the Ship which houses Jusco. There are places to eat and two coffee places which is Pacific Coffee and Starbucks. This is quite the place to nestle in and enjoy the surroundings. It's best to be here away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city.

HONG KONG DIARY .A trip to Hong Kong means that you spend a hell a lot of money on food which low in quality and taste. I have traveled all my life but this time a trip to Hong Kond and staying in Harbour Grand Kowloon has been the worst of its kind. Let me tell you from an Indian point of view as I dont want to speak on behalf of any other nationality. The hotel staff is mostly Chinese or Cantonese to be precise. Except for the two or three main gate entrance security guards who were from the movie called Singh is King as they were wearing turbans but either no beard or stylish beard like in the movie Singh is King. I am not a racist or a preferential for Indian kind of a person. But in this hotel it was toooo... much. Right from the check in I encountered a very unfriendly and unwelcoming receptionist who made sure that I am not happy from my first contact in the hotel. She read me rules for using internet as if I am a school child and she was a principal or a head mistress. " DO NOT USE MORE THAN TWO DEVICES IN THE ROOM . IF YOU SIGN ON THE THIRD ONE EVEN BY MISTAKE YOU WILL BE CHARGED SOME $150 HK DOLLARS PER DAY( BEAR WITH ME IF I AM WRONG WITH THE AMOUNT). She completed all the check in formalities in a hurried manner and kind of threw the Welcome drink vouchers at me. I was not happy at all by her attitude. She looked like thinking as if I got a trip to stay in Hong Kong in some lottery and no courtesy was ever shown or a welcoming attitude. YES ATTITUDE is the main problem. We all Indians who can afford to go to Hong Kong are actually fools to think that we are going to enjoy . Rather the Honkies enjoy our money and think that we are just there as a commodity. We Indians it seems like are bound to spend our hard earned money in a very hostile environment. We are not expected to raise any noise about the kind of treatment that is meted out . As we are just the carriers for bringing loads of cash. Anyways coming back to hotel. BREAKFAST. I stayed there for 4 days so had a chance to have breakfast for 4 consecutive mornings. Believe me all 4 DAYS ate the same damn stuff . Starting from fried noodles.Fried rice with pork sausages cut and mixed, No chicken material in sight. All 4 days idli was served sambhar. Main course was absolute rubbish. The " EGGS TO ORDER" stall again had a very unfriendly "COOK" . He hates to take order it seems. As all four days he was very sad. I didnt see a single day any kind of smile on his face. One lady requested him to put some salt and pepper on the masala omlette , but he explained that he doesnt keep any salt and pepper there. So its better to mix urself. Anyways he cooked half of the stuff in a very unprofessional way. The message was clear on his face. Eat if you want or if you like otherwise "go to hell". I never saw any banquet manager all these days. Yeah some person came to ask me room number twice or thrice each day. But never anyone inquired that how is the breakfast or did you enjoy the breakfast? I dont know why the tour agents from India do not force these hotel management to mend there way or they stop giving them bookings. On my last day eating same noodles and fried rice I was fed up. One sikh gentlemen who was also a hotel guest was looking for something worth to eat. As an Indian we dont eat all these things in the morning especially. Everyday I saw so many Indian tourists coming to hotel but nothing to the taste of India was available there. Overall the hotel was clean. But many things are now a kind of vintage quality in the rooms. A very normal room. Overall all the hotel staff was unfriendly . They look at you with some different looks. I had many times this though in my mind whether my decision to come to Hong Kong for a holiday was wrong or only to stay in this hotel was wrong. " COURTESY " is a forgetful word in this hotel. So dont expect any courtesy. You see only frowned faces all over. As an Indian I felt very bad with this kind of hospitality. Food in private dining is damn expensive and low in quality and taste. Many more to talk, contact me if u like
