Jesus H christ - "oldest coffee shop" ... Can't pony up a double ristretto ("sorry we can't do that", "what, you can't just get the very strong few few drops of the espresso that you CAN do?" ) Also no wifi. This place sucks. Avoid like a cup of piss weak Ebola.

This place has great style and atmosphere, there should be more places like it ! Four of us had tea and cake (all voted delicious, with plentiful portions), the service was good despite the fact that they were full and very busy. I didn't think it was expensive considering the quality of the food and décor - I've had to spend more elsewhere in places far inferior to this. We will definitely be going back !

This is a wonderful place to enjoy cocktails on a sunny summer's evening in the centre of the nation's most beautiful university city. I love to bring my foreign friends who visit Oxford here. The decor is incredible; you pay for it. The service here is not the best. Sometimes the card machine stops working. Sometimes the waiters are not friendly.

Do not expect to get a table if you go there alone. They flat out won't give you one even when there are lots of empty tables.

Terrible scones and high tea. The decoration is quite original but overall this place is not impressive at all.
