Very touching exhibits and memorial. It is very well done. I would recommend that you get the audio guide or the guided tour to get the most out of the experience as not everything they tell you is written down. There's no doubt that they have done the best they could with the space. The memorial and the museum are very respectful towards the many victims of this tragedy and make you feel like you know each individual affected personally. Unfortunately I have had to remove one star as it was absolutely freezing and I found it hard to concentrate on the exhibits as I was so cold. The museum itself is underground in the foundations of what were the twin towers. It is pumped full of air conditioning so that it is a completely different temperature to the 30 degrees Celsius heat outside. Definitely make sure you bring a jumper/jacket!

The museum and guided tour was a highlight of my recent trip to New York. Bryan was our guide and very informative. The museum is so well put together. It was unbelievable the attention to detail and time well spent. I could have spent an entire day around there. If you can do one thing I would take the opportunity to visit the museum. It was very emotional time. It was a great example of humanity from the story's.

To me, half the exhibit was based in emotion and artistic interpretation. There was another large area containing the "journalistic" interpretation, which was packed with content. You could easily spend a whole day here. There is a sense of sombre peace, respect, gratitude and hope throughout. If you don't have time to spend in the museum, the outside area with the reflecting pools and the Oculus building is well worth a visit. However, this museum is beautifully conceived and executed, and I would urge all to go in and spend time there. As far as value for money goes, the price of admission is comparable with other sites in New York, but the amount you get for your dollar far exceeds any other ticket you will buy. Go, contemplate, and reflect. It is a moving experience.

The design of the 9/11 museum is majestic. I slowly went through the exhibits to learn more and further my understanding of all what transpired on September 11, 2001. This museum is to honor all who have lost their lives. As well, for this generation and future generations to never forget what took place. I highly recommend to take your time to really take it all in. The only part that was challenging is that the staff allowed so many people into the main exhibit.(entrance: revolving doors) There should have been a limit. So many people were compressed, pushing through and bumping into one another. The majority of the information was written in small print, placed in various spots that you could not see unless you were right in front of it. Even though we had a challenging time getting through that one area, it was well worth going. My husband ticket was free as he is active duty military. The kids and I didn't not get any discount even though we are military family. However, it was worth paying, as there is always a cost for up keep and to pay staff, etc.
