Maui Sunriders took us to the Haleakala Summit at about 5 AM. We waited there for almost an hour and a half to watch the beautiful sunrise. After that, we got our bikes and they gave us the flexibility to have the bike till 4PM. It was a self guided Bike down the Mt. Our Guide was funny and engaging. He had told us about the restaurants and shops that we could visit on our way down. He also gave us clear instructions about which turns to take. Overall it was a great experience with them.

315am take off time. Met Jake from State Farm (our driver Actually from Minnesota) 605am sunrise time at Mount Haleakala. 620am bike ride down the mountain. 26 miles and 2 hours later were back at Maui Sunriders bike company. This is a self tour and it was great! You're On your own time with your own agenda. I understand some people's reviews about not having the guide there with a group but it clearly states this is a SELF GUIDED. My wife is an intermediate rider and she had no problems making it down the volcano. If you're the independent adventurous type you def have to check out Maui Sunriders and ask for Jake from State Farm as your driver.

Loved this company! We had Jacob as our guide to the top, we was great! The self guided aspect of the trip was nice. We downhill and road cycle often and it was nice to be able to stop and go at our own pace and stop at any of the great little towns on the way down. Stop for a donut and coffee on your way down!

We had an amazing day riding down the volcano! The tour up was hilarious and informative. Shoutout to Remy! The ride isn't for everyone but having not been on a bike for the last few months didn't inhibit me in any way. It was fun and what gorgeous views! Their whole team did and excellent job setting us up for success.

We loved them so much. Joe and Remy were awesome guides. If you've rode a bike in the past 5 years skip the "group tours" and enjoy Haleakalā at your own pace. Stop at the Market Fresh Bistro for breakfast on the way down and you're good to go.
