Really short tour, I was hoping to see more of the barrel charring, bottling, and so on. The tasting was pretty good and like all things touristy, it ended in the gift shop. Sam Adams tour in Boston was much better.

Fun side trip in Yilan. Really nice compound with full view of the whiskey making process. There is free whiskey tasting in the chateau with tasting introduction in Chinese. Who knew great whiskey was made in Taiwan?

Situated in Yilan, the distillery boost some really good single malts Asia has to offer! Distillery is open to the public for viewing, you can join the guided tour which happens periodically. No admission charge. Didn't get to drink you say, dont fret cos you can proceed to the cashier at the gift shop and enquire about the flight tasting which has a selection of their current whisky before making that final commitment of buying that bottle of expression you fancy! Once you've paid for the tasting flights, head over to the "Tasting Room" located on the second floor. Your whisky flight will be served in an order based on they abv and characteristics. Done tasting, head over to the gift shop and indulge in the selection of whiskies. (some items maybe out of stock due to market demands esp the vinho barraque which sells out pretty fast cos it's good and award winning whisky)

We had the bet time visiting the distillery! We road our bikes on the bike path there from the town of Yilan and were so stoked on how good whiskey was. I would definitely recommend doing the tasting to pic your favorite. They have so many to offer. If you search my name on Youtube you will find a video we made of our visit to the distillery. They have a self guided tour you can go on that is pretty fun. Only the introductory video is in Mandarin. The rest of the tour we had no trouble navigating as two English speakers.

A whiskey factory where you can see how whiskey is made. They provide free tasting and flavoring DIY. They also have a spacious café on the 2F where you can take a good rest. (Though their coffee is a bit expensive)
