Urquhart Castle

Apart from historic value the site stands out for various reasons; the Loch Ness, wild mountains, stunning view, excellent museum, shopping/restaurant etc. However you can not enter the site without buying a ticket! the whole area is walled from the street so from here you can't even go near the Loch Ness that's rally bad though.

Very cool and beatiful site. My wife and I had no idea it was here but stopped to check it out and easily spent half a day. Well worth the trip if you are in the area.

What a waste of money !! This place is so bad that the reception area was the nicest part about it . Overpriced, over rated and over run with people who can't read simple signs like *keep off the grass* ,infuriating! Eilean Donan castle is far better and very reasonably priced.

First time being in a medieval castle and it was breathtaking! Rich in history. A place to go if you are fist time in Inverness.

Stunning view but unless you pay , you do not get to even walk around the castle- which was annoying. Specially since most others let us do that. When traveling in Scotland, one tends to get jaded by the number of castles. It will to accommodate us and have a lower for a walk around the castle
